Moots RSL Di2 Disc
This Moots RSL Disc was meant to be a daily rider in all conditions with a clean look and high functionality. One of the goals was to have virtually none of the Di2 wiring exposed and we took a little bit of an unconventional route to get there since the bar was not made for internal wiring. To minimize the exposed wiring we started by wiring the left shifter to the right along the bar. The Enve stem has just enough space to pass a wire between the handlebar and the lower bolts so that it can stay almost completely hidden. Then a single wire is heat-shrunk to the hydraulic line right up to the point where it enters the frame and connects to the inline wireless sending unit. From the other end of the sending unit a wire goes into the seatpost to where the A junction is located, along with the battery. Charging can be done by either removing the seatpost, or through a 2nd A junction which is kept with the charger and connected to the rear derailleur. We’re quite pleased with the clean lines and even more so with the ride quality of the bike.
