Holland Cycles by Bill Holland

Bill Holland took his first frame building class from the legendary Albert Eisentraut. Over the next 20 years, Holland continued to produce hand made steel frames.

In 1992 he built his first titanium frame. Four short years later and he’d made the transition from steel to the highly technical and controlled environment required to produce titanium frames.

Bill Holland started designing ExoGrid and IsoGrid Titanium and Carbon Fiber bicycle frames under the name Holland Cycle in 2004. He wanted to offer the light weight of carbon, but with the durability and customizability found with titanium. The Holland Cycles team has over 125 years combined experience building, riding and mainting bicycles both competitively and recreationally.

Holland Cycle’s unique approach to frame building starts by removing material from a titanium tube in a diamond shaped grid. This process saves weight without compromising structural integrity. Later another smaller diameter tube is sleeved inside adding torsional stiffness.

The result is a striking blend of high technology and artisan craftsmanship that combines the best qualities of both materials. Both the IsoGrid and ExoGrid frames take advantage of the differing material properties of carbon and titanium to bring a custom tuned ride.

The company was recently featured by BikeRadar for their showing at the 2013 NAHBS. They showcased a Ritchey Break-Away style ExoGrid frameset and two other full titanium builds, one for Basketball great Bill Walton and the other featuring disc brakes.

Holland’s unique fusion of craftsmanship and technological attention to detail is a perfect fit with our own goals and ideologies. We are very pleased to partner with Holland Cycles and bring you another fantastic custom bike builder.
