Final Build of the Woom Carbonara

We wanted to keep doing some unique builds for our project bikes. Given that we’d never done a kids bike we decided to build up the new Carbonara from Woom, which will be released in the coming weeks. As far as we’re aware this is the first 20″ full carbon, disc brake kids bike to come to market.  The challenge with a kids bike is in keeping the weight low, which is a big factor for kids, yet at the same time keeping the durability and functionality high.  The frame came in at 947 grams.  The fork is a full carbon 1.5″ tapered fork at 380 grams.  Finished bike weight ended up at 14.2 pounds complete with pedals and cage.   Take a look and there’s a gallery of photos further down.
